Andrew Balding enjoyed a timely boost following a testing few days as Shadn got her head back in front in the Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Rose Bowl Stakes at Newbury. After watching stable star Beat The Bank suffer a fatal injury following his second victory in the Summer Mile at Ascot last Saturday, the Kingsclere handler had his spirits lifted by the daughter of No Nay Never, who gained her most significant success in the Listed prize.   Read the full article here: https://www.racingtv.com/news/shadn-shades-rose-bowl-battle-at-newbury...

Shadn, a 2 year old filly by No Nay Never, wins the Listed Rosebowl Stakes for Al Rabban Racing. Bought by JS Bloodstock as a yearling from Tattersalls Ascot. Shadn has always shown a lot of class at home with Andrew Balding. After a disappointing run at Royal Ascot she has bounced back to beat the colts in a good renewal of this competitive Listed race at Newbury. She also became the first black type winner for JS Bloodstock from our first crop of yearling purchases. Hopefully the first of many!!! Congratulations to all connections....

Dragon Command was a very impressive winner at Hamilton Racecourse. With the cheek pieces applied for the first time he jumped fast from the gates and travelled well behind the speed. He kicked on up the hill and went on to win by over 2 lengths. He looks like a smart prospect and will most likely head on to Glorious Goodwood. Congratulations to the team behind The Black Dragon Partnership, a great team of people who deserved the luck. Dragon Command was bought from Tattersalls Ireland by JS Bloodstock for  31,000 euros.   ...

JS Bloodstock purchases came to the fore in a rare across the world double for owners OTI Racing on Wednesday when Future Score won for the 2nd time in the early hours. Later on that day Southern Rock, recently acquired privately for OTI Racing since winning his maiden, made it the double when winning at the first time of asking for his new owners. Southern Rock is by New Approach and out of a half sister to St Ledger winner Encke, he looks to have stamina in abundance and should have a very successful career ahead of him when he transfers to Australia....

JS Bloodstock's first ever runner at the Royal Meeting was Time To Study who was bought privately for current owner K Sohi and is training with Ian Williams. Time To Study finished 3rd giving his owners a lot to cheer about when he kicked off bend and challenged for the lead. Unfortunately the soft ground found him out towards the end, but he'll be very competitive at the top of the staying ranks this season. Congratulations to all connections....

What a week it has been for bloodstock consultant Billy Jackson-Stops and his Qatari client Abdulaziz Al Rabban. On Saturday the stallion they stand at Clongiffen Stud in County Meath, Kuroshio, received a momentous boost when his 'nephew' Anthony Van Dyck landed the Derby; then on Wednesday the two-year-old filly purchased by the partnership last year, Shadn, registered a three and a quarter-length victory on debut in a Kempton maiden.   Read the full article here: https://www.racingpost.com/bloodstock/bloodstock-latest/derby-update-and-easy-maiden-winner-make-it-a-week-to-savour-for-jackson-stops/384288...

WINNER - Bushtucker Trial, a £10,000 purchase from Tattersalls Ascot, wins well at Leicester in the 5 Furlong Sartorius Novice Auction Stakes. Dragon Command, a 31,000 Euro purchase from Tattersalls Ireland, showed a lot of promise finishing 2nd at Carlisle. Both Exciting prospects. ...

Successful pinhook for JS Bloodstock and Hetta Stevens at Goffs UK: Hetta and JS Bloodstock sold lot 44 for £54,000 to Matt Coleman of StroudColeman Bloodstock. The colt, by Due Diligence, will now head into training with Roger Charlton. Offered as a yearling at the Doncaster yearling sales, the colt was bought back on behalf of the owners by Bobby O'Ryan. A private deal with the owners outside of the ring by Billy meant the colt went into training with Hetta. The gamble paid off with the colt breezing in the top 40 on the clock and posting some remarkable statistics for his 7.6 metre stride length, the best in the sale. We wish the new owners the best of luck with him in the future....
